The name comes from the Nahuatl language word atolli that means “acuous”. Its origin dates back to prehispanic times, prepared with corn starch, water or milk plus our own unique flavor preparation of Pecan or Oat. This is a thick beverage served very hot. It is consumed in a traditionally sweet manner using Molases and Sugar.
